About the Role
Contract Resources is preparing for a major turnaround starting in August 2026 and is seeking experienced and safety-focused High Pressure Water (HPW) Operators to join our turnaround team.
HPW Operators play a critical role in supporting specialised industrial cleaning services during turnaround operations. Working in a fast-paced environment, you will assist with high pressure water blasting, tank cleaning, confined space work, and other specialised cleaning scopes to ensure turnaround activities are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.
This is a hands-on role suited to individuals who thrive in high-performing teams and are committed to maintaining strong safety standards in high-risk environments.
Duties will include but are not limited to
- Manual High Pressure Water Blasting
- Tank head cleaning and in-situ industrial cleaning activities
- High Pressure Water Cold Cutting
- Wash pad water blasting and industrial cleaning tasks
- Assisting with confined space entry activities and performing sentry/standby duties
- Operating and driving vacuum trucks (where applicable)
- General labouring and manual handling duties
- Strict adherence to Work Health & Safety procedures, including participation in JSAs, SWMS, Take 5s and other safety documentation
- Identifying hazards, reporting risks, and contributing to a proactive safety culture
- Working collaboratively with supervisors, operators and site personnel to meet shutdown schedules
Requirements & Experience Needed
- MSMSS00018 – Operate High Pressure Water Jetting System (essential)
- Experience working within Oil & Gas environments (highly desirable)
- Ability to work shift work including days, nights and weekends
- Construction White Card (essential)
- Working at Heights (within 2 years – essential)
- Confined Space Entry (within 2 years – essential)
- Gas Test Atmosphere (within 2 years – essential)
- Breathing Apparatus (essential)
- Vacuum Loading Operations (desirable)
- Current Driver’s Licence (HR/HC/MC highly desirable)
- High Risk Work Licence – LF / Dogman / Rigger (advantageous)
