You will have the opportunity to work with the Front Office Team which consists of approximately 60 colleagues. This is an exciting opportunity for you to grow your hotel skill set in order to build a career with-in The Langham, shall you be determined and dedicated.
Your responsibilities will include:
Assist guests entering and departing the hotel and attend to all needs including luggage, directions, queries or recommendations on the local area
- Receive, monitor and manage requests from all areas of the hotel
- Prioritise tasks, and delegate duties to the Bell team

Co-ordinate group arrivals & departures and direct team accordingly.

Keep oneself and the bell team abreast of all relevant information within the hotel. Seek out and communicate key information to the Bell team to enhance product knowledge eg: F&B Promotions, Group and VIP arrivals.
- Communicate effectively with the team through leading regular briefings and team meetings, involving the team in other Front Office driven meetings.
- Ensure consistency of training by establishing a core training team, creating and maintaining and guidelines, maintaining a training manual, and certifying Bell Desk colleagues in a timely manner.

Liaise with couriers; accepting and dispensing parcels and work with the Security manager in maintaining an effective tracking system for all items arriving via the bell desk.

Work with the security department to ensure the safety and security of both staff and guests alike at the hotel entrance area.
Monitoring of the Porte Cochere (Driveway) and direct staff accordingly

Must hold a current full manual Australian drivers license (probationary drivers licenses will not be accepted) or International Driver's Licence (manual)
