Ready to take the next step in your insurance law career with a respected WA firm that will back your judgment, support your growth and give you room to lead?
Jackson McDonald’s Insurance Practice is seeking a Senior Lawyer with at least 5 years’ post-admission experience and a strong background in defendant workers compensation and public liability.
You’ll work directly alongside partners Alex Lustig and Erica Thuijs on quality matters, with the autonomy to run files, the support to keep developing, and the trust to use your legal skills with confidence.
A rare opportunity to grow your insurance practice
This role is suited to someone who enjoys real ownership: managing matters with independence, being a trusted point of contact for clients and building long-term relationships across the industry that support your growth as a leader in the field.
You’ll be part of an energetic, fun and dynamic team that values authenticity and uniqueness — a team that takes its work seriously, but not itself too seriously.
If you enjoy having responsibility, providing leadership to junior lawyers, delivering responsive client service and being part of a genuinely collaborative practice, we’d love to hear from you.
You’ll have the benefit of interesting and varied work, direct access to approachable partners, and a team environment where people are encouraged to contribute ideas, share knowledge and enjoy what they do.
You can expect to be empowered, respected and trusted in your legal judgment, with the space to work autonomously and the backing of a team that genuinely collaborates.

- Exceptional attention to detail and sound legal judgment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Confidence acting in a client-facing role.
