- Lead AI-driven integration strategy and delivery across icare's technology landscape
This role owns the strategy, delivery, governance, and operational management of integrations between icare's technology platforms and external vendors, partners, SaaS providers, and enterprise systems - with a particular focus on embedding AI capabilities into the integration landscape while enabling seamless collaboration with Claims Service Providers (CSPs) and partners.
About the role
As Head of AI Delivery & Integration, you'll define and lead the third-party integration strategy in alignment with icare's broader Technology Strategy, with a forward-looking roadmap covering the implementation of AI services, APIs, middleware, and partner connectivity. You'll oversee the design and delivery of AI, API, middleware, and system-to-system integration solutions, ensuring they meet enterprise standards for scalability, performance, reliability, and security. With up to 6 direct reports, you'll build strong governance frameworks, drive service management maturity, and act as the senior escalation point for critical integration issues - all while being a trusted partner to stakeholders across the business.
What you'll do
- Define and evolve the third-party integration strategy in alignment with the Technology Strategy and enterprise engineering standards
- Establish and maintain a forward-looking integration roadmap covering the implementation of AI services, APIs, middleware, and partner connectivity
- Align initiatives with business priorities, cybersecurity requirements, and enterprise architecture frameworks
- Identify and incorporate emerging technologies and industry best practices to continuously improve capability
- Oversee the design and delivery of AI, API, middleware, and system-to-system integration solutions
- Ensure all integrations and services meet non-functional requirements including scalability, performance, reliability, and security
- Promote standardisation, reuse, and best practice across integration designs and platforms
- Facilitate design workshops with internal teams and external partners to define integration approaches and implementation plans
- Define and implement service management practices, including monitoring, incident management, and continuous improvement
- Establish, track, and achieve service levels, KPIs, and SLAs
- Oversee the transition of new services and integrations into stable and supportable operational environments
- Establish governance frameworks to manage onboarding and lifecycle of third-party services
- Partner with cybersecurity and risk functions to support audits and risk assessments
- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders, internal teams, and external partners
- Act as the escalation point for critical issues impacting business services
- Provide executive-level reporting on integration health, delivery status, risks, and operational performance
What you'll bring
- Proven experience leading and implementing AI and enterprise integration strategies, including AI third-party services, APIs, middleware, and third-party/vendor integrations
- Strong technical leadership background in integration architecture and distributed systems
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop cross-functional technical teams delivering complex outcomes
- Experience managing integration roadmaps aligned to business, security, and enterprise architecture priorities
- Solid understanding of non-functional requirements such as scalability, performance, availability, and security
- Experience in operational management of platforms/services, including SLAs, KPIs, and service reliability
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and external partners
- Experience working with cybersecurity, risk, and compliance frameworks, including audit support
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities
