New Role - Business Development Executive
The Business Development Executive you will strategize and execute initiatives for expansion in both current and untapped markets. Utilize lead generation, thorough market research, competitor analysis, and effective relationship management to enhance the company's market share and overall profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to assist in the accurate preparation of capability presentations for delivery to prospective clients.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure proposals are compiled in line with all company policies and procedures including pricing and are approved by required stakeholders before being submitted.
- Provide an overview of all successful proposals in agreed format to appropriate stakeholders, including Account Manager and Operations management, detailing the client, nature of freight, service expectations etc.
- Ensure all opportunities for company to tender for work are communicated with the Marketing, Communications and Tender Manager. Provide prompt responses when required to provide information for tender submissions.
- Take all necessary steps to ensure ‘Customer Delight’ and successful implementation of new customers into company business practices (First Travel Sticker, Training Customer on Software packages etc) ensuring a positive ongoing business relationship.
- Identify and report industry trends and emerging opportunities to expand the business’ offering.
- Develop targeted industry campaigns and work with Marketing to set up campaigns to promote the offers to new and existing customers.
- Initiate and assist in the design and production of sales and marketing initiatives and presentations.
- Meet and exceed targets and KPIs.
- Maintain all records on a real time basis to include all sales activities.
- Review processes and procedures and recommend and implement improvement initiatives.
What you will need to succeed:
- Experience in a Business Development Business Development Executive
- High level of focus and commitment to Health, Safety & Environment practices.
- Integrity, trustworthiness, professionalism and a customer centric approach to problem solving.
- Exceptional ability to cultivate and maintain professional relationships with a diverse range of internal and external customers.
- Proven history of identifying, developing and establishing key relationships, ideally in the transport, logistics and warehousing industry.
- Sound business acumen coupled with an advanced understanding of the freight industry.
- Demonstrated ability to provide strategic solutions for complex challenges.
- Self-motivation and tenacity with a track history of achieving sales targets.
- Excellent presentation skills with the ability to deliver high-impact proposals to a diverse audience.
- Excellent time management skills coupled with resilience and adaptability.
- Excellent language, literacy, numeracy and communication skills.
