Combined Weld is urgently seeking an experienced First Class / Coded Welder to join structural steel fabrication workshop in Kewdale.
This is a high-standard fabrication environment. Only applicants with proven structural steel welding experience will be considered.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform FCAW (Flux Core) and GMAW (MIG) welding on structural steel components
- Complete structural fillet welding, primarily in the flat position, with some horizontal and vertical-up welding
- Weld structural beams, heavy steel components and mining equipment
- Read and interpret fabrication drawings
- Maintain high-quality workmanship while meeting production targets
- Follow all safety procedures and quality standards
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience as a First Class or Coded Welder
- Extensive structural steel fabrication and welding experience
- Strong FCAW (Flux Core) and GMAW (MIG) welding skills
- Ability to consistently produce high-quality welds
- Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings
- Experience using pipe rotators and welding positioners is highly regarded
- Reliable, safety-focused and available for an immediate start
