SA Construct is looking for apprentices who want to learn commercial roof plumbing, cladding and facade installation while working on significant projects across Adelaide.
We welcome applications from:
- school leavers;
- people starting their first trade;
- existing apprentices looking for a better opportunity;
- second, third and fourth-year apprentices; and
- mature-age applicants seeking a genuine career change.
This is not an apprenticeship where you will spend your time cleaning up and watching other people work. You will be expected to learn, contribute and progressively develop real trade capability.
What you will learn
Working with experienced tradespeople, you will develop skills in:
- commercial metal roofing;
- architectural cladding and facade systems;
- flashings, gutters and rainwater systems;
- insulation, membranes and building envelope components;
- measuring, cutting, setting out and installation;
- reading drawings and technical details;
- use of hand tools, power tools and access equipment;
- working safely at heights;
- quality inspections and defect prevention; and
- commercial construction site practices.

- are reliable and ready to start work on time;
- are willing to listen, learn and accept feedback;
- take pride in practical work;
- understand that construction work can be physical and outdoors;
- work safely and look out for others;
- can communicate clearly; and
- have Australian working rights.
You will need a White Card or be willing to obtain one before commencing.
A driver’s licence and reliable transport are strongly preferred. Previous work experience, school-based trade training or construction exposure will be helpful but is not essential.
