Skilled Labourer / Handyman – Insurance Make Safe Works
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Skilled Labourer / Handyman to assist with emergency insurance make-safe works across Sydney.
Location
Applicants located around Westmead and surrounding suburbs are preferred, but this is not mandatory.
About the Role
The work is varied and primarily involves responding to emergency insurance claims, including:
- Roof make-safe works
- Minor demolition and strip-outs
- Ceiling removals
- Temporary propping
- Basic carpentry
- Temporary weatherproofing
- General make-safe and property protection works
The successful applicant must be confident working independently and capable of undertaking a wide variety of small emergency works. No two jobs are the same, so strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet are essential.
As we provide emergency response services, flexibility is essential. After-hours, weekend and occasional on-call work forms part of the role, so applicants must be available to respond when required.
Requirements
- White Card (essential)
- Working at Heights ticket (essential)
- Current driver's licence
- ABN (preferred or willing to obtain)
- Experience in construction, carpentry, maintenance or insurance make-safe works
- Confident using a variety of power tools and hand tools
- Reliable, well-presented and able to work independently
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends and on-call work

Pay: $36.00 – $45.00 per hour
