Key Responsibilities
- Analyse and evaluate supply chain and inventory processes to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop and implement supply chain strategies, plans, and forecasting models to optimise inventory levels, utilisation, and customer outcomes.
- Assess inventory performance across the national network and provide recommendations to optimise stock distribution and meet DIFOT targets.
- Analyse demand trends and business data to support accurate procurement, replenishment, and production planning decisions.
- To manage the importation and exportation of gas products and containers. Preparing international shipping documents, coordinating with freight forwarders and their agents to ensure safe arrival of goods to appointed destination.
- Monitor slow moving products and reassign assets into fast moving and growth products.
- Be responsible for managing an inventory and purchasing plan for all cylinder accessories to include cylinder valves, manifolds, pallets, which are critical to ensure cylinder inventory plan is achieved
- Manage the out of test cylinder pool, consider test station resources and create a production plan which delivers new customer demand and maintains target utilisation levels across the product range.
- Build strong relationships with key suppliers and work with them to identify ways to strip out cost, reduce lead-times and give Coregas competitive advantage
- Prepare reports, insights, and recommendations based on supply chain data to support decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to continuous improvement projects by analysing current systems and processes, recommending enhancements, and supporting implementation of improved workflows.
- Work closely with branch sales and operations to plan for new business and ensure additional cylinder inventory is delivered within requested timescales.
The remuneration will be $90,000 annual base + superannuation.
About you:
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Supply Chain or Logistics
- Demonstrated experience in Supply Chain and / or Operations. Continuously challenges and strives to improve business processes.
- Understands and articulates how operational activities contribute to business performance.
- Proficiency in other MS office suite applications
- Ability to prioritize work to meet business deadlines in a fast paced environment
- Must have high attention to detail, Strong customer service skills.
- Detailed knowledge of inventory systems, demand planning and replenishment
