Nautica Residences Hillarys is a premier beachfront accommodation overlooking the Hillarys Boat Harbour. We are looking for a hands-on Maintenance Worker who doesn’t mind getting involved with housekeeping support.
What you’ll do:
· Help housekeepers move furniture, strip linen in departure rooms, and fix minor room issues on the spot.
· Perform general maintenance – painting, unblocking drains, changing light bulbs, repairing fixtures and all general maintenance duties necessary at resort.
· Respond to guest requests with a positive, can-do attitude.
What you bring:
· Perform routine inspections of guest rooms for maintenance issues and fixing them.
· Carry out minor plumbing (leaky taps, toilet cistern repairs), electrical (replacing globes, switches), and painting touch-ups.
· Assemble new furniture, mount TVs, and repair fixtures.
· Ensure all tools, ladders, and work areas are safe and compliant with WA work health & safety standards.
· Respond to guest maintenance requests promptly and professionally.
Requirements (Essential)
· Previous experience in maintenance, handyperson, or trade assistant role.
· Ability to lift heavy items (e.g., mattresses, linen trolleys) and stand/walk for shifts.
· Basic knowledge of power tools, plumbing, and painting.
· Current driver’s license.
· WA White Card (construction induction) or willingness to obtain.
· Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to work weekends and public holidays on a rotating roster.
Desirable
· Experience in hospitality, hotel, or apartment complex maintenance.
