What's the Gig?
We're on the hunt for a Packaging Supervisor to lead the charge at our Port Melbourne manufacturing facility. This isn't just a job, it's an opportunity to be part of something truly special. If you're a detail-obsessed, quality-driven, get-stuff-done kind of person, this role is calling your name!
What You'll Be Doing (aka Your Superpowers)
- Owning the packaging process, keeping everything running like a well-oiled machine under the guidance of our Production Manager.
- Leading & motivating our Packing Team to smash daily production goals.
- Operating and maintaining packaging equipment, because smooth machines = smooth drinks!
- Making sure every can is perfect, running daily quality checks like a pro, including seam tear downs and inspections on our canning lines.
- Keeping it clean & safe, handling Clean-in-Place (CIP) tasks, warehousing, and logistics like a boss.
- Getting hands-on, carrying out routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting with little to no supervision, keeping downtime to a minimum.
- Championing quality control, maintaining strict, accurate quality records across every batch and run, so we can always trace and trust what's in the can.
- Being a team player, working with the Production Manager to keep things on schedule and running seamlessly.
The Technical Bits (aka Your Toolkit)
- Hands-on experience with 8 head, single roller turret filler/seamer machines.
- Comfortable filling bag-in-keg, plastic kegs, pouch bags, and 1000L liquid bladders.
- Experience making large coffee batches (600L+), keeping quality and consistency spot on batch after batch.
- Experience blending RTD cocktails using real juices, spirits, and syrups, keeping every batch tasting on-point.
- Can filter and dilute spirits to spec, with a solid grasp of the process behind both.
- Working knowledge of high-level math functions across batching, dilution, and quality calculations.
- Confident using quality instrumentation such as the Anton Paar M model and the Apera DO8500 portable optical dissolved oxygen meter.
- You're handy with a spanner — and know your way around micrometers and calipers for precision checks.
- Machine fitting experience, plus can use and maintain diaphragm pumps, centrifugal pumps, air compressors, and reefer storage units.
- Able to operate a walkie stacker and a depalletiser as part of everyday warehouse operations.
Quality & Compliance
- You're the owner of our retention program, who takes ownership of testing schedules and keeps meticulous, audit-ready records.
- You've worked in a HACCP-accredited facility, understanding what it takes to keep a food-safe production line running to spec.
- You've completed and maintained a HACCP program, from documentation through to day-to-day compliance.
