We are currently seeking a passionate and energetic Team Leader to join the Gather & Trade team.
Job Description
As Team Leader, you will support the daily operations of Gather & Trade, leading the team during service periods and helping deliver exceptional guest experiences in a fast-paced café environment.
This hands-on role is ideal for someone who enjoys leading from the floor, building strong team culture, and creating welcoming hospitality experiences.
Key responsibilities include:

Leading shifts and supporting the day-to-day operations of Gather & Trade

Delivering exceptional guest service and creating a welcoming atmosphere

Supervising and motivating the team during busy service periods

Assisting with opening and closing procedures

Supporting onboarding and training of new team members
-
Maintaining café presentation, cleanliness, and brand standards
-
Assisting with stock control, ordering, and beverage service
-
Handling guest enquiries and resolving issues professionally

Supporting upselling initiatives and loyalty program engagement

Working collaboratively with the wider Food & Beverage and hotel teams
Qualifications
-
Previous experience in a café, restaurant, or food & beverage environment

Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred

Passion for hospitality and guest service

Strong communication and organisational skills
-
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Positive attitude and strong team focus
-
Current RSA certification
-
Flexible availability including mornings, weekends, and public holidays
-
Barista experience is advantageous
