The role
We are looking for a Product Manager to join our Commercial team in Rydalmere for a 12 month fixed-term contract. As the Product Manager – Commercial, you will play a pivotal role in driving growth across Rheem Australia’s commercial water heating portfolio. You will be responsible for developing and executing product and marketing strategies that strengthen market position, enhance brand offering, and deliver measurable commercial outcomes. Managing a diverse and technically complex product range, you’ll oversee the full product lifecycle—from strategic planning and roadmap development through to product launch and ongoing optimisation. This is a highly collaborative role where you will partner with Sales, R&D, Supply Chain and key stakeholders, acting as a product champion to bring new initiatives to market and drive strong business performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute commercial product and marketing strategies to drive market share, revenue, and margin growth
- Own and maintain the 3-year product roadmap in partnership with R&D and Technical Marketing
- Lead end-to-end product development and improvement programs, ensuring delivery on time and within budget
- Drive internal alignment and secure buy-in from Sales, leadership, and cross-functional teams
- Develop and execute go-to-market strategies and product launch plans, including sales and marketing collateral
- Partner with global teams, suppliers, and agencies to deliver innovative product and marketing initiatives
- Prepare and present business cases to support new product development and key investments
- Monitor product performance, market trends, and ROI to optimise product strategy and outcomes
- Provide technical and application support to the commercial sales team, including tools and sizing solutions
- Collaborate with Supply Chain to ensure optimal inventory levels and support demand planning
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, customers, and external partners
About you
You are a commercially minded Product Manager with a strong technical foundation and a passion for delivering outcomes. With a degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or Hydraulic), you bring the ability to translate technical detail into commercial value and influence both engineering and sales teams.
You’re a proactive, hands-on operator who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes ownership from strategy through to execution. Highly organised and collaborative, you’re confident managing multiple stakeholders and delivering projects on time and within budget.
You’ll bring:
- Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or Hydraulic)
- Experience in product management, marketing, engineering, technical support or sales (MBA advantageous)
- Strong project management and planning capability
- Ability to influence and communicate with both technical and commercial stakeholders
- Solid commercial acumen and customer-focused mindset
- Proficiency in MS Office; SAP experience desirable
- Understanding of marketing channels, including digital and social platforms
- A positive, “can-do” attitude with the ability to work both strategically and hands-on
