Due to continued growth across Australia, Georgiou is seeking a Civil Estimator to join our pre-contracts team on a full-time basis in our Brisbane Office.
The successful candidate will work closely with the estimating team to successfully win projects using accurate cost allocations, practical and efficient construction methods and up to date market knowledge.

What you’ll do (but not limited to):
- Prepare tender estimates, budget estimates and other cost related proposals in a timely manner and in accordance with the Estimating Manager's requirements.

Review all tender documentation to understand the requirements of the work and factor the results into the bid preparation.

Prepare robust direct cost and indirect cost estimates using a combination of first principles estimating techniques and subcontractor pricing.

Engage with suppliers and subcontractors during the tender phase and assist with the analysis and selection of preferred vendor pricing.

Provide input into construction methodologies, tender programs and review as required.

Explore opportunities for innovation while identifying risks and opportunities.

Participate in post tender negotiations.

Work in accordance with Environmental Management System and promote environmentally considerate work practices.

Coordinate and collaborate with subject matter experts on methodology, program, IR, Plant, and tender review process.
What your good at:
- 3+ years in working in civil infrastructure or a construction environment.

You could come from a site background and looking to get into pre-contracts and estimating.

Strong knowledge of first principal costing and construction methodologies, standards and process.
- Excellent time management to meet strict deadlines.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with good communication skills.

Good organisation, attention to detail, self-motivated, and the ability to work under pressure.

Advanced skill levels in Microsoft Word and Excel. Intermediate skill levels in estimation software.
