About Us:
SushiSora is a popular and fast-paced Japanese restaurant located in Newport (Northern Beaches, Sydney). We are known for our quality food, great service, and supportive team environment. Due to the upcoming departure of our current kitchen staff, we are urgently seeking a reliable and skilled Chef to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare sushi and sashimi (salmon, kingfish, mixed sashimi, nigiri)
- Roll making and platter preparation
- Ensure food quality, freshness, and presentation
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and food safety
- Work efficiently during busy service periods
- Assist with general prep and workstation cleaning
Requirements:
- Minimum 1–2 years experience as a Sushi / Sashimi Chef
- Confident with sashimi slicing and nigiri
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, clean, and well organised
- Valid working rights in Australia
