As part of the award-winning Lancemore Hotel Group, we’re looking for talented Hotel Manager to join the team on a 14-month fixed term contract for a maternity cover.
We are seeking an experienced and accomplished General Manager to lead our dedicated team. You will have a strong background in driving sales performance and in managing conference-focused hotels and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences. As General Manager, you will oversee all aspects of the property's operations, including guest services, food and beverage, wedding & events, and financial performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all aspects of hotel operations across Rooms, Sales, Revenue, Food & Beverage, Events and Maintenance, ensuring operational excellence, exceptional guest experiences and consistent delivery of brand standards while managing critical incidents and after-hours matters. (not the vineyard and winery is managed via corporate office).
Drive commercial performance through strategic revenue, sales and marketing initiatives, maximising Net RevPAR, profitability, market share and overall business outcomes.
Manage budgets, forecasting, financial reporting and cost-control measures, ensuring labour efficiency, effective debtor management and strong operational performance.
Lead, coaches and develops high-performing teams through recruitment, onboarding, performance management, succession planning and talent development, while fostering an inclusive and collaborative workplace culture.
Build and maintains strong relationships with corporate stakeholders, suppliers and community partners, providing regular business updates,
About You:
Experience: Demonstrated experience in a General Manager or senior leadership role within the hospitality industry
Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate teams, with a focus on professional development and high performance.
Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of financial management, budgeting, and revenue optimization.
Guest-Centric: A passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences and the ability to instill this ethos across the team.
Adaptability: Comfortable managing a property in a regional setting, with an understanding of the unique opportunities and challenges this presents.
Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building relationships with guests, team, and stakeholders.
