Details: We are seeking a dynamic person with strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills, sound judgement, proven ability to lead teams and manage competing priorities, and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
The Contract Management Team is responsible for the strategic management of the largest ongoing contract in the ACT Government. Its key objectives are to preserve and maintain the Social Housing portfolio, maintain a tenant focus in the delivery of the services and achievement of social outcomes, maintain a collaborative relationship with key stakeholders and achieve flexibility, adaptability, and responsiveness to evolving needs of the Commissioner, Tenants, and industry.
The Senior Contract Officer supports the effective financial management, governance and administration of the Total Facilities Management (TFM) Contract. The position contributes to the delivery of repairs and maintenance program through financial oversight, contract assurance, performance monitoring and governance activities that support operational and strategic objectives.
The role is responsible for undertaking financial activities and analysis, monitoring contractor performance against contractual and financial obligations, managing financial processes and supporting compliance, risk management and continuous improvement initiatives. The position provides accurate financial information, evidence-based advice and high-quality reporting to support decision-making, financial integrity and value-for-money outcomes.
Reporting to the Assistant Director, Contract Management, the position works collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective contract management, sound financial stewardship and compliance with ACT Government policies, legislative requirements and contractual obligations.
Notes: This is temporary position available immediately for 12 months with the possibility of permanency. A Merit Pool may be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months.
