The Operations Assistant provides a support function in the operating suite by facilitating the movement, safe positioning and comfort of patients throughout their surgical experience. In addition to supporting patient care, the Operations Assistant assists clinical staff by preparing positioning equipment used in surgical procedures, transporting equipment and stock, restocking consumables and cleaning.

Where you'll be working
We are a tertiary referral centre, with 21 Operating Theatres, including Burns/Plastics and Maternity. Our specialties in the Operating Rooms include gynaecology, ophthalmology, orthopaedics, cardiothoracic, vascular, ENT, hands, neurosurgical, urology, upper GI, plastics, colorectal, paediatrics, interventional neuroradiology and emergency surgery. We also cover radiology, endoscopy and cardiac catheter lab.
What you'll be doing
The Operations Assistant will work as a multi-skilled member of NSLHD provide non-clinical, ancillary support to relevant staff to complement the delivery of safe, effective and quality patient care. The position interacts with various departments throughout the hospital on a daily basis.
