As Director, Project Delivery Communications, you'll lead the communications and engagement function that supports the delivery of some of the most complex and high-impact transport projects, products and services across NSW.
Working closely with project teams, contractors and industry partners, you'll foster meaningful connections and build trust with communities, and help delivery teams navigate complexity, anticipate risk and lean into opportunities.
Through your leadership, community insight will become a catalyst for better decisions, stronger delivery outcomes, and projects and services that create lasting value for the people of NSW.
In this role you’ll:
Set the direction for communications and engagement across some of NSW's most complex and high-impact transport projects, products and services.
Partner with project teams, contractors and senior leaders to navigate complexity, manage risk and support better delivery outcomes.
Ensure community and stakeholder insight shapes decisions, building understanding, confidence and trust through meaningful, inclusive and culturally respectful engagement across diverse communities.
Lead a high-performing function, building capability, lifting practice and positioning engagement and communications as a strategic enabler of successful delivery.
This is a permanent Transport Senior Service Executive (TSSE) role. Please see the role description and Information Pack for more information.
About you
You are a strategic and influential leader skilled at bringing clarity to complexity and aligning stakeholders and teams in dynamic, high-pressure environments.
You've worked on significant infrastructure, service delivery or public sector programs and know how to balance delivery objectives with community and stakeholder expectations.
You understand the value of community and stakeholder insight and have used it to shape decisions, manage risk and improve delivery outcomes.
You provide trusted advice to senior leaders, bringing sound judgement, political acumen and the ability to navigate complex issues and competing priorities.
You excel in matrixed environments, building strong partnerships across project teams, contractors, government and communities.
You are confident leading through leaders - setting direction, building capability and fostering high-performing teams.
You're passionate about engagement that makes a difference - creating better outcomes for communities and the projects that serve them.
Above all, you bring a collaborative and positive can-do approach. Leading with authenticity, you enjoy working with others and take pride in building an environment where your people and partners feel supported, connected and empowered to do their best work.
