About the Role:
If you have completed (or are nearing completion of) a five-year sequence of accredited study in psychology and are eligible to apply for entry into a one-year internship pathway to general registration as a psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia (the “5+1 internship pathway to general registration”) and are looking for an exciting opportunity in healthcare, supercharge your career and create the life you want in Canberra. We are looking for new graduate psychologist, enrolled (or eligible for enrolment) in the Clinical, Forensic or Neuropsychology Registrar Program for Area of Practice Endorsement with the Psychology Board of Australia to gain experience working in Mental Health, Justice Health, or Alcohol & Drug settings, which may include working in either hospital based, custodial or community teams providing psychological services to adults, children or young people experiencing mental health disorders.
Successful candidates in the P1 Psychology Intern program will have the opportunity to experience time with other teams to provide experience working across the lifespan. You will work in a growing and dynamic health service that is committed to providing state of the art services to Canberra and the surrounding regions. Successful candidates will be supported and provided ongoing education opportunities facilitated through the Allied Health Clinical Education Unit.
