About the role
Unique Allsteel Industries Pty ltd is seeking an experienced and reliable Metal Fabricator to join our growing workshop team. This is an excellent opportunity for a trade-qualified professional who enjoys hands-on fabrication work, takes pride in quality workmanship, and wants to be part of a well-established Australian manufacturing business.
Working as part of our production team, you will be involved in the fabrication, assembly and finishing of a wide range of steel products and custom metalwork projects. You will work from drawings and specifications to produce high-quality components while ensuring safety, accuracy and efficiency in the workshop.
About you
- Read drawings and job plans.
- Measure, mark out and prepare metal materials.
- Cut metal using workshop tools, equipment and machinery.
- Bend, shape and form metal components.
- Fit and line up parts ready for assembly.
- Weld, bolt and rivet metal sections together.
- Check weld quality and finished work.
- Grind, clean and finish fabricated products.
- Remove defects and tidy welds as required.
- Ensure that metal sheets and products are of good quality and meet industry standards.
- Follow workplace safety procedures at all-times.
Skills and qualifications
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Qualification is preferable but not mandatory
- At least 2 years experience working in the industry as a metal fabricator
Pay: $80,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
