Reporting to the Area Manager, this role is responsible for coordinating a team of skilled Boilermakers, supporting customer requirements, providing technical guidance, and ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of fabrication services on Caterpillar earthmoving equipment.
Roster: Monday – Friday 10.5 hours (inclusive of meal break)
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead and support a team of Boilermakers delivering fabrication and repair solutions across WA.
- Coordinate workloads, job allocation, scheduling, and workforce utilisation.
- Provide technical advice and support on welding, fabrication, maintenance, and repair activities.
- Build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure quality service delivery.
- Monitor project progress, reporting, and operational performance.
- Champion a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Support troubleshooting and complex technical problem-solving.
- Work closely with planners, supervisors, and operational leaders to meet business and customer requirements.
About You
- Trade qualification as a Boilermaker or Fabricator.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a workshop, fabrication, or field service environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of heavy equipment repairs for mobile maintenance.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage competing priorities, and deliver outcomes.
- Experience working with Caterpillar equipment or within the mining and heavy equipment industry will be highly regarded.
