You’ll be the kind of person who enjoys being behind the bar, not just because you know your cocktails, but because you enjoy the people on the other side of it. Whether you’re recommending a drink, remembering a regular’s favourite order, or keeping the energy flowing during a busy service, you’ll help make the bar a place guests want to come back to.
Your Day-to-Day
You’ll help create a vibrant, welcoming and memorable bar experience by:
- Welcoming guests with warmth, confidence and a genuine smile
- Creating great drinks while bringing your own personality and flair to the bar
- Preparing and serving cocktails, beer, wine and non-alcoholic beverages to voco quality standards
- Following standard recipes while knowing when a little creativity can elevate the guest experience
- Engaging with guests, reading the room and making recommendations based on their preferences
- Creating memorable moments through genuine conversation and attentive service
- Delivering responsible service of alcohol, including checking guest identification
- Keeping the bar clean, organised, well-stocked and ready for service
- Managing cash and EFTPOS transactions accurately in line with procedures
- Monitoring stock levels and assisting with inventory control
- Checking in with guests and confidently resolving concerns when they arise
- Supporting the wider Food & Beverage team and jumping in wherever needed
- Keeping your cool, even when the bar gets busy

- A team player – you’re happy to help wherever the team needs you
- Previous bartending experience is highly regarded
- Sound knowledge of cocktails, beer, wine and spirits
- RSA Victoria certification
- Flexibility to work evenings on weekdays, weekends, public holidays and late finishes
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work efficiently behind the bar
