JUNIOR BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT - TOOWOOMBA/TRAVEL
BDS Mechanical is seeking a motivated Junior Business Development professional to join our growing team. This is an exciting entry-level opportunity to build a career in business development while working closely alongside our experienced Business Development team.
In this role, you will gain hands-on exposure to client engagement, site visits, and relationship management across our operations. You will travel with our current Business Development representative, supporting meetings with new and existing clients, assisting with opportunity identification, and learning how to develop and maintain strong commercial relationships within the industry.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist the Business Development team with client meetings, site visits, and presentations
- Travel with Business Development Manager to support regional client engagement activities
- Help identify and follow up on new business opportunities and leads
- Support the preparation of proposals, quotes, and client communications
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
- Support the coordination and scheduling of meetings and business development activities
- Gain a strong understanding of company services, operations, and industry sectors served
REQUIREMENTS
- Knowledge of and experience with truck, trailer, mining, and automotive products and services preferred but training can be provided
- Very good communication skills
- Excellent customer service and sales skills
- Excellent telephone manner
- Must be willing to travel and for extended periods of time
- Experience in a similar role
- Unrestricted drivers license
