About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and safety-focused Scissor Lift Operator to support installation and maintenance projects across various commercial sites in Sydney. The role involves operating scissor lifts to safely position technicians and equipment while ensuring all work is completed in accordance with site safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate electric and diesel scissor lifts.
- Conduct pre-start inspections and complete equipment safety checks.
- Position the scissor lift to support technicians carrying out installation, maintenance, or cabling work.
- Follow site-specific safety procedures and Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS).
- Identify and report hazards or equipment issues.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Communicate effectively with the site supervisor and project team.
- Comply with all WHS and site induction requirements.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience operating scissor lifts on commercial or construction sites.
- Valid White Card.
- Evidence of competency or training to operate Elevating Work Platforms (EWP), including scissor lifts. While a high-risk licence is generally not required for scissor lifts, operators must be competent and appropriately trained.
- Strong understanding of workplace health and safety.
- Ability to work at heights.
- Reliable, punctual, and professional.
- Full Australian work rights.
- Current driver's licence and reliable transport preferred.
Desirable
- Working at Heights certification.
- Experience assisting electricians, AV installers, network cabling, or construction teams.
- First Aid certificate.
- Forklift licence (advantage only).
