Join BDO Australia’s National Operations team as part of our growing Sustainability function, reporting directly to the Enterprise Giving & Sustainability Lead. Sustainability and BCaring (our national giving program) are key strategic priorities for the firm, with increasing focus on measurable impact, employee engagement and responsible business practices.
This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to firm-wide Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) initiatives, supporting both internal operations and external brand positioning. You will play a critical role in strengthening our reporting, enabling data-driven decision making, and driving engagement across national programs that deliver meaningful community and business impact.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Source, consolidate and validate data from multiple systems and stakeholders to support Sustainability and BCaring reporting
Analyse data and performance metrics, delivering insights, reports and recommendations to inform decision making
Support the development and delivery of a national communications plan to increase engagement and participation in Sustainability and BCaring initiatives
Create, maintain and continuously improve communication materials, including intranet content and resources for client proposals and tenders
Coordinate the end-to-end delivery of the annual Sustainability Impact Report, including stakeholder engagement, content development, and approval processes
Manage day-to-day operations of Sustainability and BCaring initiatives, ensuring consistent national execution
Support implementation and continuous improvement of Sustainability policies, processes and systems
Collaborate cross-functionally to drive alignment and uplift capability across service lines
Skill/Attribute required
Strong analytical and reporting capability, with the ability to translate data into insights
Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience developing content and communications plans
High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across teams and functions
Proactive, self-driven and solutions-focused approach
Interest in Sustainability, ESG and community impact initiatives
Qualifications and Experience required:
Tertiary qualification in Sustainability, Business, Commerce, Communications or a related discipline would be highly regarded
Relevant experience in reporting, data analysis or program coordination
Experience supporting Sustainability, ESG or Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives in a corporate environment
Experience working with reporting tools, data systems and Microsoft Office suite
Exposure to stakeholder management across a national or complex organisation
