Latrobe Regional Health is looking for Senior Early Psychosis Clinician to join our growing team on a full time (1.0EFT) Fixed Term period of 18 months.
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Early Psychosis Clinician to join the Gippsland Early Psychosis Service (GEPS). Working with young people aged 15–25 experiencing, or suspected of experiencing, a first episode of psychosis or mania, you will provide specialist assessment, treatment, and assertive outreach case management. As a senior member of the team, you will deliver evidence-based interventions, support recovery-focused care, and collaborate with families, community services, and multidisciplinary professionals to improve outcomes for young people across Gippsland.

The role of the Senior Early Psychosis Clinician is to:

Provide comprehensive assessment, treatment planning, and ongoing care for young people experiencing first episode psychosis or mania in line with Australian Early Psychosis Guidelines.

Deliver assertive outreach case management and evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including trauma-informed and recovery-oriented approaches.

Support young people to achieve recovery goals, improve functioning, and reconnect with education, employment, family, and community supports.

Coordinate care with families, carers, and key stakeholders including health, education, disability, child protection, forensic, and AOD services.

Provide specialist consultation, advice, and education to local mental health teams, community services, young people, and their families.

Contribute to a multidisciplinary team environment, providing clinical leadership, promoting best practice, and supporting continuous service improvement.
About you
Ideal candidates for this role will have:

Qualified Mental Health Nurse, Social Worker, Occupational Therapist, or Psychologist with relevant registration and/or postgraduate mental health qualifications.

Extensive experience in mental health services, including at least 5 years in a senior clinical role, with strong knowledge of early psychosis interventions.

Demonstrated ability to provide comprehensive assessment, case management, and evidence-based therapeutic interventions for young people and their families.

Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.

Committed to recovery-oriented, trauma-informed, and person-centred care that promotes positive outcomes for young people.

Passionate about supporting young people experiencing mental illness and contributing to innovation and excellence in mental health service delivery.
