Key responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a general practice setting
- Assist GPs with examinations, procedures, and treatments
- Administer vaccinations and manage immunisation programs (including childhood immunisations)
- Conduct health assessments, chronic disease management, and health education
- Develop and manage care plans and health assessments
- Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation using Best Practice software
- Manage recall and reminder systems effectively
- Ensure clinical areas and equipment meet infection control standards
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to support coordinated patient care
About you
- Minimum 1 year experience in general practice or primary care nursing
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA (Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia)
- Strong clinical skills with the ability to work autonomously
- Proficient in Best Practice software
- Experience with recalls, reminders, and chronic disease management plans essential
- Nurse immunisation certificate with experience in childhood immunisations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and accurate clinical documentation
- Commitment to ongoing professional development
