Position
Part-Time Commis Chef / Chef de Partie (CDP)
We are looking for 2 Part-Time Commis Chefs or CDPs to join our kitchen team.
Candidates with brunch / breakfast café experience are highly preferred.
About the Role
This is a hands-on kitchen position suitable for a Commis Chef or CDP who enjoys working in a busy, professional kitchen environment.
You will work closely with the kitchen team to ensure consistent food quality, efficient service and high standards of food preparation.
Key Responsibilities
- Food preparation and mise en place
- Cooking and plating dishes during service
- Working across breakfast, brunch and lunch sections
- Maintaining consistent food quality and presentation
- Following recipes, SOPs and portion control
- Maintaining high standards of hygiene and food safety
- Keeping the kitchen clean, organised and well maintained
- Working efficiently as part of a professional kitchen team
- Supporting senior chefs during busy service periods
- Assisting with stock rotation and general kitchen duties
What We Are Looking For
- Previous experience as a Commis Chef or CDP
- Brunch / breakfast café experience is highly preferred
- Good understanding of basic cooking techniques and kitchen operations
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Strong attention to detail
- Reliable, punctual and well organised
- Positive attitude and good team communication
- Ability to work independently when required
- Food Safety knowledge is an advantage

Pay: $58,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
