Position
We are looking for a safety conscious, dedicated and highly experienced treatment plant operator to join our Water and Wastewater team. Reporting to the Supervisor, this senior role is key to the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of Council’s water, wastewater, and recycled water treatment plants. You will lead by example and guide a dedicated team to maintain critical infrastructure, and provide hands-on mentoring and support to staff and trainees. To be successful you will bring

- Certificate III in Water Industry Treatment or equivalent.
- Demonstrated extensive working knowledge of water and wastewater treatment operations, including adherence to regulatory, health, environmental and safety requirements.
- Demonstrated experience in the supervision and training of staff.
- Proven good communication skills, both oral and written.
- Demonstrated digital literacy with experience and competence in computer and devices (e.g. tablets, iPhone) applications.
The rewards
- An annual salary range of $71,100 to $81,600 (plus 12% superannuation) dependent upon skills, experience and qualifications.
