Skin Cancer Clinic in Como is expanding and seeking a dedicated Nurse who is eager to learn, train, and grow within a specialist skin cancer setting. This role offers hands‑on clinical experience and the opportunity to work closely with an experienced team of doctors and nurses. Key Responsibilities
- Clinical assessments including patient history, triage, and preparing patients for procedures
- Assisting with skin procedures such as biopsies, excisions, and minor surgery
- Wound care management including dressings, suture removal, and post‑op reviews
- Patient education on sun safety, biopsy results, and follow‑up care
- Infection control and maintaining a safe clinical environment
- Clinical risk management
- Documentation and accurate record‑keeping
- Stock management and instrument sterilisation
- Supporting smooth day‑to‑day clinic operations in a small team environment
About You
- AHPRA Registered Nurse
- Strong interest in dermatology or skin cancer medicine
- Confident with wound care and minor procedure assistance
- Excellent communication and patient‑care skills
- Able to work independently in a small clinic setting
- Dermoscopy or skin cancer nursing experience (desirable but not essential)
- Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
- Reliable transport is required to ensure punctual attendance for scheduled clinics. Candidates should be able to commute to the clinic within approximately 30 minutes.
- Knowledge of recalls, reminders, and clinical administration
- Experience using Best Practice and HotDoc
