Scope
This Test Analyst role performs specialised and general testing, mainly on the Open Banking stack. The responsibilities include automation of test activities, timely and accurate reporting on testing status and active contribution in solution discussions with the wider AWS Solutions team.
The Test Analyst will execute testing activities and will contribute to the team’s delivery of consistent and high-quality testing services to support the business and other stakeholders. The Test Analyst will be provided with opportunities to cross-skill across multiple applications.
The testing responsibility extends from system integration testing of components delivered from Development and Infrastructure teams, through to performance testing and other non-functional testing required to assure the quality of DA solutions.
The Test Analyst is responsible for testing allocated change “ideas” and defects and is involved in the software development life cycle from the inception of a new “idea.”
Tasks & Responsibilities
- Providing feedback on defined requirements and design artifacts.
- Attending requirements, estimate and design review meetings with business analysts and developers.
- Developing test documentation in accordance with formal testing methodologies as a result of interpretation of approved requirements and/or design information.
- Executing test cases and revising & maintaining regression test case suites – manual and automated.
- Writing Release Notes for internal and external use.
- Writing and executing test cases for defect fixes.
Qualifications:
- Tertiary qualification (completed or near to completion) in a related IT field and/or experience deemed equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years relevant test experience
- ISTQB Foundation certification
- Training and/or relevant experience in finance/IT industry
- Knowledge of software testing procedures and methodologies
- High proficiency with Microsoft Office products
- Excellent and effective verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills demonstrating the ability to establish positive relationships quickly
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills plus a high level of attention to detail
