Registered Nurse – Community & In-Home Nursing | Casual | Immediate Start
Care Companions NT is seeking compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurses to join our growing team on a casual basis, providing community and in-home nursing care to clients across Darwin and surrounding areas.
Immediate start is available for the suitable candidate.
Casual Rate: $60–$75 per hour + Superannuation, depending on experience, qualifications and shift requirements.

About the Role
As a Community Registered Nurse, you will provide nursing care to clients in their own homes and community settings. Casual shifts will be offered based on client needs and your availability.
Community nursing duties may include:
- Comprehensive nursing and health assessments
- Medication management and administration
- Wound assessment, wound care and dressing changes
- Diabetes management and monitoring
- Insulin administration and blood glucose monitoring
- Continence and catheter care
- Stoma care
- Clinical observations and monitoring
- Chronic disease management and health education
- Development and review of nursing and care plans
- Liaising with families, support workers and other health professionals
- Maintaining accurate clinical documentation and progress notes
- Supporting clients with complex health and disability-related needs
- Other community nursing duties within the RN's scope of practice
About You

- Confident communicating with clients, families and multidisciplinary teams

Essential Requirements
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Current National Police Check
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance or willingness to obtain
- Working with Children/Ochre Card where required
- Current Australian driver's licence
- Reliable vehicle and ability to travel to clients' homes
- Appropriate Australian working rights
Previous experience in community nursing, disability, aged care, complex care or home-based nursing is highly regarded.
