About the role
The Physiotherapist - New Graduate is a structured training position designed to support the development of entry-level physiotherapists through a variety of clinical rotations within Metro North Health, primarily at the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital. This fixed-term opportunity provides exposure to a broad range of inpatient and outpatient services while fostering professional growth within a supportive learning environment.
The successful candidate will deliver evidence-based physiotherapy services under the guidance of experienced clinicians, develop increasingly independent clinical decision-making skills, and participate in service improvement, professional development and quality activities. The role also provides opportunities to work with multidisciplinary teams, support Allied Health Assistants and students, and contribute to safe, effective and patient-centred healthcare delivery.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
Deliver entry-level physiotherapy services across a variety of clinical areas while applying professional and ethical standards of practice.
Develop clinical reasoning and decision-making skills through supervised practice and progressive management of increasingly complex patient presentations.
Work collaboratively with patients, families, multidisciplinary healthcare teams and colleagues to achieve positive health outcomes.
Manage clinical caseloads effectively while maintaining accurate documentation, prioritising workloads and supporting patient safety initiatives.
Participate in professional development, quality improvement activities and supervision of Allied Health Assistants and physiotherapy students where appropriate.
