Our restaurant is looking for a new employee to be on board with us as follows:

Salary: 80,000/year (plus superannuation)

Key skills:
· Passionate about the hospitality, culinary, and retail industries.
· Possessing extensive technical expertise encompassing various cooking methods and cuisines
· Demonstrated leadership capabilities in managing staff during service. Proficient in communication, organisation, and maintaining high grooming standards.
· A thorough understanding of kitchen hygiene protocols and occupational health and safety requirements is imperative.
Main responsibilities:
- Communicate daily with front of house team, internal customers with daily business events. Conducting quality checks on food items to ensure high standards of quality
- Monitoring and regulating temperatures of cooking equipment such as ovens and grills
- Preparing and cooking a variety of food dishes
- Adding appropriate seasoning to enhance the flavor of cooked food
- Portioning food and plating it with complementary gravies, sauces, and garnishes
- Safely storing food in designated temperature-controlled facilities
- Adhering to special dietary requirements when preparing food
- Assisting in menu planning and estimating food quantities needed
- Providing training and guidance to other kitchen staff members and apprentices, if required
- Preparing, seasoning and cooking food in a dining or catering establishment
Other requirements are:
· Work Eligibility: Permitted to work permanently with no restriction on hours (Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident preferred)
· Previous experience: At least 2 years working as a Cook/Chef
· Language: Conversant in English
