The Opportunity
Are you an experienced technology professional with a passion for communications systems and mining technology? Thiess is seeking an experienced and motivated FMS Technology & Communications Technician to join our high-performing team at Lake Vermont Mine, Queensland.
As a key member of the Lake Vermont team, you'll be responsible for supporting the reliability, maintenance and performance of fleet management systems, telecommunications infrastructure and autonomous technology networks to enable safe and efficient mining operations.
Roster: 7/7 Even Time (Dayshift Only) | Location: Lake Vermont Mine, QLD | Employment Type: Permanent Full-Time
As the FMS Technology & Communications Technician, you will
- Develop, install and commission various Wi-Fi, radio and wireless communication systems.
- Perform servicing, repairs and maintenance of fleet monitoring systems, site telecommunications, wireless networks and autonomous fleet networks.
- Respond to breakdowns on site FMS equipment, autonomous systems and communication networks.
About You
- Minimum 5 years' industry experience with fleet monitoring systems and telecommunications.
- Strong technical knowledge of wireless communications, networking and autonomous technology systems.
- Current Standard 11 and Driver's Licence.
- Relevant coal mining certifications and verified skills transcripts.
- A proactive attitude with a commitment to safety, teamwork and continuous improvement.
