Parkhouse Bell is recruiting for a not-for-profit organisation who supports people with disability and those with lived experience of the justice system to realise their full potential through meaningful employment.
Through a combination of one-to-one support and group facilitation, you will play a key role in preparing clients for the workforce empowering them to believe in their potential and achieve meaningful outcomes.
The Position:
As an Employment Support Consultant, you’ll guide clients through personalised job pathways, help identify and overcome barriers, and deliver workshops that boost confidence and capability. You will also support clients on a one to one basis to support them take action to secure employment.
- Deliver personalised 1:1 career coaching and capacity-building workshops including:- how to create resumes and covering letters, confidence building, interview techniques, reverse marketing, job applications to name a few
- Support progress as clients grow in confidence and job readiness
- Create actions and set targets to help clients make positive steps
- Engage with employers to promote clients into roles
- Work closely with other team members to support progression
- Liaise and build relationships with localised support services to support clients with complex needs
- Be a trusted guide supporting individuals into meaningful employment
- Work in an environment that values empathy, structure, and social impact
- Play a key role in transforming lives through employment

Criteria:
- Experience in case management, career coaching, or employment services is preferable
- Experience delivering teaching or group work sessions
- An understanding of mental and physical disability and how this impacts job seekers
- Experience working with ex-offenders is desirable
- Target driven – used to working to monthly targets and KPIs
- Strong interpersonal skills with a natural ability to build trust and rapport
- Empathetic, organised, and an effective communicator
- Passionate about supporting individuals to overcome barriers and achieve goals
- Current Working with Children Check/Blue Card and National Police Check (or ability to obtain)
