We are seeking a dedicated Community Liaison Officer to join our team in Alice Springs. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in strengthening relationships between the College, students, families and remote Indigenous communities.

About the Role
The Community Liaison Officer acts as a vital bridge between the College and the families and communities we serve. You will work closely with students, parents/carers, community leaders and staff to support engagement, attendance and student wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with students’ families and home communities
- Facilitate communication between the College and remote communities
- Support student attendance, engagement, and wellbeing initiatives
- Assist with enrolment processes and community outreach activities
- Coordinate and participate in community visits and meetings
- Provide cultural advice and guidance to staff
- Support students’ transitions to and from boarding school life
This role requires regular travel to remote communities across the Northern Territory, to maintain strong engagement with students’ families and communities.

What you will bring
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Experience working with Aboriginal communities
- Understanding of cultural protocols and community dynamics
- Commitment to student wellbeing and education outcomes
- Current driver’s licence and willingness to travel
- Current Right to work in Australia
What would be highly regarded
- Previous experience in a school or community liaison role
- Local knowledge of Central Australian communities
- Ability to speak an Aboriginal language
- Qualifications in Community Services, Social Work or Education
