Cecilias is an upmarket Asian-inspired restaurant at Toowoon Bay. We're after a barista for a set Friday-to-Sunday roster who's happy to be part of the floor team the rest of the shift.
Coffee first
Coffee is the skill we're hiring for. You should be able to dial in a grinder, pull consistent shots, and pour milk properly without being talked through it. We run [machine / grinder] with beans from [roaster]. If you've done café work and you're good at it, this is the part you'll own.
And the rest of the shift
This is a dinner restaurant, so coffee isn't the whole night. You'll also be on the bar — pouring wine and beer, building our cocktails — and on the floor taking orders, running food and looking after tables.
You don't need to arrive knowing our list or our service style. You do need to want to learn both. Restaurant Manager and the floor team will bring you up to speed.
The roster
Friday 6 to 9, Saturday 8 to 2 and 6 to 9, Sunday 8 to 2. Part-time, so you get guaranteed hours in writing — the same shifts every week, not a roster that moves around on you. Extra shifts available over summer, special events and public holidays if you want them.
What you need
- A current NSW RSA competency card. This one's non-negotiable — you'll be serving alcohol from your first shift
- 18 or over
- Solid barista experience on a commercial machine
- You're fine with evenings and late finishes. Saturday nights are our biggest service.
- A reliable way to and from Toowoon Bay after 9pm
Pay
Part-time, Food & Beverage Attendant Grade 2 under the Restaurant Industry Award [MA000119]. $27.08/hr base, with Saturdays at 125% and Sundays at 150%, plus a late-night loading for Friday hours after 10pm, and superannuation. If you hold a Certificate III in Hospitality and you're using it in the role, tell us — it changes your classification and we'll pay you accordingly.
