ABOUT THE POSITION:
Our Concierge Security officers combine frontline customer service with security expertise. - Interacting with visitors to provide an engaging, enjoyable experience, including information about galleries, ticketed exhibitions, programs, tours, events, retail and food and beverage facilities
- Positively resolving visitor issues and complaints within Museum guidelines and procedures
- Recording incidents, observations and customer engagement feedback in the SOC database accurately and promptly, and communicating relevant incidents through established channels
- Supporting the Security Operations Centre by monitoring surveillance feeds, tracking team movements and maintaining awareness of facility-wide security status
- Responding promptly in emergencies as a key member of the incident response team - assisting with evacuations, medical emergencies and other crisis scenarios, and providing first aid when required
The successful applicant will have:
- Strong verbal communication and customer service skills, with demonstrated experience engaging with people to create a positive and memorable experience
- Ability to stay calm under pressure and handle emergencies with a level head
- Prior experience in a security role, preferably in a public-facing environment
- Proficiency in using security software and incident reporting tools, with attention to detail and the ability to handle sensitive data securely
- Certificate II in Security Operations, a valid Security Licence, current First Aid and CPR certification, and a valid Victorian Driver's Licence
