School-hours friendly role with genuine opportunities to grow
Create memorable guest experiences with Special Stays
Looking for rewarding daytime work that fits around school hours and family life?
At Special Stays, we're looking for reliable, detail-oriented team members who take pride in creating beautifully presented holiday homes across Mandurah, Rockingham, Perth, Fremantle and the Peel region.
This is more than a cleaning role. Every property you prepare directly impacts a guest's holiday experience. A beautifully presented home creates memorable stays, glowing reviews and repeat bookings. We value team members who understand that their work makes a real difference.
Most property changeovers take place during the day, generally between 10:00 am and 3:00 pm, making this role well suited to people seeking work around school hours and family commitments.
As our business continues to grow, we're committed to promoting from within wherever possible. Team members who consistently demonstrate reliability, initiative and attention to detail may have opportunities to progress into roles such as Property Presentation Specialist, Quality Assurance Inspector, Team Trainer, Stock & Linen Coordinator, Cleaning Supervisor or Operations Support.
About Special Stays
Special Stays is a locally owned short-term rental management company managing premium holiday homes throughout Mandurah, Rockingham, Perth, Fremantle and the Peel region.
We believe people matter. We support one another, communicate openly and celebrate team members who take ownership, show initiative and take genuine pride in their work.
Our core values are:
- Excellence
- Compassion
- Courage
- Innovation
- Accountability
We're building a supportive team where everyone contributes to delivering exceptional guest experiences.
About the Role
Your responsibilities may include:
- Cleaning and preparing holiday homes between guest stays
- Making beds and presenting bedrooms to hotel-quality standards
- Cleaning kitchens, bathrooms and living areas
- Checking and replenishing guest amenities and consumables
- Identifying and promptly reporting damage, maintenance concerns or missing items
- Taking clear photographs after each clean to confirm our guest-ready standards have been achieved
- Completing cleaning and inspection checklists using our mobile systems
- Advising the operations team immediately if a property cannot be completed on time
- Working independently or alongside another team member
- Helping maintain consistently high presentation standards across all our properties
Because our guests often arrive only hours after a property has been prepared, reliability is essential. Every clean must be completed to a consistently high standard within the allocated timeframe. We rely on team members who communicate early if any issues arise so we can support them and ensure every guest enjoys a wonderful arrival experience.
Most work occurs during daytime turnover hours.
Weekend, public holiday and school holiday work is shared across the team where possible and depends on guest bookings. Applicants don't need to be available every day but must be reliable and dependable for the days they commit to working.
The Person We're Looking For
You'll be a great fit if you:
- Are highly reliable and honour your commitments
- Communicate clearly and respond promptly
- Enjoy working independently while also being part of a supportive team
- Take genuine pride in presenting a property beautifully
- Notice the small details others may overlook
- Follow property-specific instructions carefully
- Are honest and willing to report mistakes or concerns immediately
- Are physically capable of cleaning, making beds and handling linen and supplies
- Are comfortable using a smartphone for messaging, taking photographs and completing simple digital checklists
- Have basic computer skills (helpful but not essential)
- Remain calm and adaptable when schedules change
- Understand that holiday accommodation requires a higher standard than ordinary domestic cleaning
- Want to become a valued long-term member of a growing company
Experience in holiday accommodation, hotels, resorts, commercial cleaning or high-standard residential cleaning is highly regarded.
However, attitude, reliability, communication and attention to detail are just as important as previous experience.
If you've never cleaned holiday homes before but have a great work ethic and are eager to learn, we'll provide training in our systems, processes and guest-ready presentation standards.

- Current driver's licence
