About Us:
The Scots College BASC is a privately-owned, family-operated company providing high-quality Outside of School Hours (OOSH) care to families at The Scots College, Bellevue Hill.
We are excited to be expanding our team and are currently seeking two enthusiastic OOSH Assistants committed to working from 2:00pm to 6:00pm at least 3 - 4 days per week. This opportunity reflects our continued commitment to delivering exceptional care and enriching experiences to more families.
Our programs are guided by the My Time, Our Place framework, offering school-aged children engaging, play-based, and leisure-focused activities that celebrate their individuality, interests, and choices.
About the Position:
- Supervise and engage with children during play, ensuring their physical safety at all times
- Promote and guide positive behaviour in line with service policies and child-safe practices
- Assist in the development and implementation of engaging programs that support children’s independence, social skills, learning, and overall development
- Foster an inclusive, supportive, and fun environment that reflects the interests and needs of the children
Current Qualifications and Experience:
- A valid Working With Children Check (WWCC)
- A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their wellbeing and development
- Ability to build positive, respectful relationships with children, families, and colleagues
- Previous experience in an OOSH or similar child-focused environment (preferred but not essential)
Availability:
- School Term: Monday to Friday, 2:00pm – 6:00pm ( or Monday to Thursday availability per week)
- School Holidays (Vacation Care): Monday to Friday between 8:00am – 5:30pm (flexible shifts within these hours)
- This is a permanent part-time position
