You will have a law degree, and either be an admitted Lawyer or on track to being admitted, with strong communication and technical skills and have an enthusiasm for legal practice in environmental law.
This position requires:
Admission or eligibility for immediate admission as a barrister, solicitor, or legal practitioner of the Supreme Court of Queensland
Exceptional communication skills including the ability to write clearly, succinctly and with attention to detail and be able to influence, negotiate and collaborate with a range of key stakeholders on complex legal matters.
Knowledge or ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of Environmental Law, Planning Law, Criminal Law, Statutory interpretation, Litigation procedure and legislation administered by the Department
An enthusiasm for legal practice in environmental law, a willingness to learn and the ability to work well under pressure within a team environment.
A demonstrated ability to operate in a team environment and contribute to team culture.
