About the role:
The Developer – Clinicals role focuses on supporting and enhancing healthcare software that manages patient data and clinical workflows. This role involves contributing to development, testing, integration, and maintenance of EMR applications, working closely with senior developers and clinical teams to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient healthcare delivery.

About you:
Can you demonstrate the following?

Adhere to organizational governance, clinical safety frameworks, and software development lifecycle processes.

Take ownership of assigned development tasks, ensuring timely and quality delivery.

Contribute innovative ideas to enhance clinical system functionality and user experience.

Support prototyping and experimentation with new technologies relevant to clinical workflows.
-
Collaborate with clinical users, informaticists, and technical teams to gather and clarify requirements.
-
Develop proficiency in clinical software platforms, healthcare data standards (HL7, FHIR), and programming languages.
Qualifications / Specialist Expertise

Degree or tertiary qualification(s) in a Health, Business, Science or Information Technology/Information Systems related field is required.

Experience designing/modifying database reports using Crystal reports, SSRS, etc Highly experienced in writing Advanced SQL

Familiarity with RTF and XSLT/XHTML is desirable
-
HTML/JavaScript/JSON/jQuery experience is desirable
-
Previous experience working with Cerner Millennium, particularly CCL, discern rule development and dynamic documentation, is highly desirable.

Sound understanding and demonstrated proficiency with an EMM, EMR, PAS, Pharmacy dispensing system, LIS, RIS or clinical information systems is desirable.

Understanding of public hospital workflows with experience in a clinical environment is desirable.
