What you'll be doing
Provide and co-ordinate appropriate occupational therapy services for inpatients, outpatients and community clients as referred in a manner consistent with professional code of ethics and current Mid North Coast Local Health District policies and procedures. Managing staff and resources within the Occupational Therapy department and providing professional oversight to junior staff.
About You
You present yourself as an experienced occupational therapist with a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy or equivalent qualifications recognised for registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia. You bring proven expertise across a broad spectrum of occupational therapy services, drawing on a strong clinical foundation and a commitment to delivering high‑quality, person‑centred care.
You demonstrate clear capability in leadership, with experience overseeing operational functions and human resource responsibilities while providing supervision, guidance and professional accountability to staff. Your advanced clinical reasoning allows you to apply sound professional judgement across diverse service areas and complex clinical situations, ensuring safe, effective and evidence‑based practice.
Your communication style is a strength, reflected in your ability to engage confidently and respectfully at all organisational levels. You navigate consultation, negotiation and conflict resolution with professionalism, using both verbal and written communication to support clarity, collaboration and positive outcomes.
You work effectively with autonomy, requiring minimal direct supervision, while also contributing as a reliable and engaged member of an interdisciplinary team. Your ability to balance independent practice with collaborative teamwork highlights your adaptability and commitment to integrated, holistic service delivery.
