We're looking for a friendly, reliable Casual Shop Assistant to join our team. This role is ideal for someone looking to earn extra income alongside another job, study, or other commitments.
About the Role
- Casual position
- 5–15 hours per week
- Weekday morning availability is essential (Monday to Friday)
What You'll Be Doing
- Greeting and assisting customers with a positive attitude
- Processing sales through the point-of-sale system
- Restocking shelves and maintaining store presentation
- Keeping the shop clean, tidy, and well organised
- Answering customer enquiries and providing product information
- Assisting with opening and closing duties as required
- Assisting with deli and catering preparation of products
What We're Looking For
- Friendly, approachable, and customer-focused
- Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable handling cash and using a point-of-sale system (training provided if needed)
- A willingness to learn and take initiative
- Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred but not essential
Availability
Applicants must be available to work weekdays and be flexible to cover shifts between Monday and Friday. This role offers 5–15 hours per week, making it an excellent option as a second job or for someone seeking additional casual hours.
