The Role
An opportunity has become available for an Administration Officer - Reliever (Mental Health and Specialist Services) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 14 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
Provide efficient administrative, general reception and / or secretarial support
Provide effective and co-operative communications by responding appropriately to customer enquiries
Open, sort and distribute internal and external mail and letters
Admit, discharge and transfer patients or consumers to and from the unit
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)
While no mandatory, a relevant qualification would be well regarded

Permanent part time (38 hours per fortnight)
Base salary ranging from $40.17 - $44.67 per hour
About Us
Mental Health and Specialist Services (MHSS) provide integrated hospital and community specialised mental health assessment and treatment services across the age-spectrum. Our services aim to be consumer focused and recovery oriented.
As a condition of employment, this role is based on a 5-day fortnight, working day shifts with the rostered days to be negotiated. The position will provide relief coverage across all roles within Mental Health and Specialist Services as required.
