The Position
We are seeking a motivated and organised Receptionist to join our Brisbane team on a temporary, four-week contract from Thursday 30 July to Friday 23 August 2026, working Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm.
This role is essential for ensuring smooth front desk operations and providing excellent customer service to clients and visitors. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a professional demeanour, contributing to the positive image of our firm.
Responsibilities:
- Greeting arrivals, efficiently notifying relevant CN staff member(s) and offering refreshments
- Answering phone calls to main CN lines, forwarding calls to relevant CN staff members and taking and passing on messages as required
- Managing meeting rooms including bookings, catering and technology equipment requirements
- Liaising with outside caterers and ordering
- Liaising with secretaries to record CN staff member movements and updating daily intranet information
- Organising outgoing couriers as requested
- Maintaining equipment registers for laptops, whiteboard, video camera etc. as well as visitor passes
- Coordinating orders and managing relationships with routine suppliers
- Maintaining a clean and tidy reception area
- Assisting with coordination of various events and seminars
- Assisting with facilities management as necessary
- Other administrative tasks and adhoc projects to assist the management team.
Essential skills, experience and qualifications
- Proactive, positive and responsive “can do” approach, with the ability to learn/pick up things quickly.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills, with the ability to quickly build rapport with internal and external clients.
- Effective time management, planning and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and adapt to changing schedules and priorities.
- Discreet, confidential and trustworthy.
- Ability to sustain high level performance, problem solve and meet deadlines with limited supervision.
- Ability to work in a team environment and be flexible to meet team requirements.
- Consistently exhibit with the firm’s values and brand, and inspire this in others
