About Pindan Beef Company
Pindan Beef Company is developing the Kimberley region's export-registered beef processing facility, strategically located between Broome and Derby in Western Australia. Scheduled to commence operations in September 2026, the facility will provide critical processing capacity for cattle producers across the Kimberley and Northern Australia, supporting the continued growth and sustainability of the region's livestock industry.
As we prepare for plant commissioning and operational readiness, we are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance (QA) Officer to join our Quality Team and assist in maintaining the highest standards of food safety, product quality, regulatory compliance, and animal welfare.
About the Role
Reporting directly to the QA Manager, the QA Officer will play an important role in ensuring compliance with company quality systems, customer requirements, export standards, and regulatory obligations. The successful candidate will work closely with production teams and supervisors to monitor processes, verify compliance, and support continuous improvement initiatives throughout the facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake people and product monitoring activities and accurately record outcomes in a timely manner.
- Participate in internal audit activities and quality system reviews.
- Coordinate process verification activities, including product quality and integrity checks throughout the plant.
- Conduct pre-operational inspections and verification tasks.
- Monitor compliance with food safety, quality assurance, animal welfare, and operational procedures.
- Complete QA documentation and maintain accurate records.
- Report outcomes relating to monitoring and verification activities to the QA Manager and Area Supervisors.
- Assist with corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of quality assurance programs, export requirements, and customer standards.
- Perform other QA-related duties as directed by the QA Manager.
Desired Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 2 years' experience within the meat processing industry.
- Certificate II in Meat Processing or higher.
- AUS-MEAT Beef qualification.
- Working knowledge of Information Leader (online reporting and documentation system).
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in animal welfare requirements and practices.
- Understanding of food safety, HACCP, quality assurance systems, and regulatory compliance within a meat processing environment.
