The Role

The Dual Diagnosis Clinical Nurse Consultant (DDCNC) participates in patient care provision in Youth Justice Centres and actively liaises with Justice Health & Forensic Mental Health Network (JHFMHN) staff across mental health, drug and alcohol, physical and adolescent health.

To enhance the effectiveness of the mental health and drug and alcohol services within Adolescent Forensic Mental Health by providing an expert patient centred nursing consultancy practice.
Essential Requirements

Current authority to practice as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia.

Minimum five years full time equivalent postgraduate experience, with at least three years full time equivalent experience in adolescent mental health and/or drug & alcohol.

In addition the employee must have approved post graduate Mental Health Nursing and /or Drug & Alcohol qualifications.

Unrestricted NSW Driving Licence and a willingness to travel within NSW as required.
